We are back online

Okay so we are up and running again online and it feels great, at least something does.

It was such a crappy couple of weeks. I am sure that I mentioned that I was sick before we moved but man I just kept getting worse. There is nothing like moving, being 9 months pregnant, Christmas around the corner, being deathly ill and taking care of a little one to make you just want to die. By the time we got into our house and felt like things weren't a total disaster I did think I was going to die. So I thought if I feel this bad maybe I better get to the doctor and see what was going on and of course my luck it was Bronchitis. My immunity is just down because I just got over the flu and everything is going around here so my body just gave in. YUCK!!!! So it made for a horrible Christmas. I did my best putting on a happy face for Abigail but literally all I did was sleep for Christmas and the few days following. I thought the flu was bad...
So back to the move. Thank God and I mean that because of him I have such great friends. Our friends Laina and Shane helped us move all day. Laina thinks that she didn't do much but she really did. I couldn't have done all of that by myself. Her hubby Shane was with Justin ALL day and got all the big stuff, he was really amazing. Thank you guys. Also, our friends the Johnson's took Abigail for most of the day so that she could have fun and not be in the way. That was so wonderful. Thanks to everyone. We had a lot of people offer to help and that means a lot. There are so many kind people that we know. How lucky are we?. So we are moved in. We still have a lot to do but the silence is golden, golden. Abigail getting a bath at the new house. Who doesn't love baby blue...

My husband Justin is the king of getting things done. He is absolutely the most amazing and hardworking man I have ever met. We haven't been in a week before he fixed the shower, put another shower in where there was only a tub, put in a dishwasher, ran the entire house for cable and Internet and did whatever I asked because I can't move things in my condition. Seriously the man works so hard and I am so thankful for that. I just hope he knows that he can just chill sometimes.

Justin putting the dishwasher. Abigail was pop's helper all week and she loved it!

Pop and Abigail taking a moment to just hang and snuggle.

Back to Christmas. Other than sleeping all day I did get up and make a yummy breakfast and had Abigail open her presents. It was really fun to see her this year enjoy it. She can make anyone forget their sickness when she opens a present and says "cool". She got a lot of great things from Grandparents and her Aunt Heather and Uncle Aaron. Of course we gave her a couple of pretty cool things too, oops I mean Santa. Later that night we did wander up to Justin's Uncle's house for his Aunt Debbie's infamous Christmas dinner. It was sooooo good. I was sad she couldn't see any of us enjoy it for she was at the airport waiting like everyone else to pick up her sister. Delays... It was fun to see all the cousins and the two beautiful babies that were born in the last month. Juliette and Verena. Soooooo cute. I wish I had my camera but in the midst of feeling so crappy I forgot it as well as my phone.Abigail on Christmas eve. Opening a gift from her friends and some pj's.
Abigail on Christmas eve after her bath with her new PJ's.

Okay this was the best. Abigail wanted to wear the sock Grandma Riddle got her because they light up but they had to be over her pj's and she had to wear shoes. LOVE IT!!!!Can't love anything more. She got a flip off of pop's shoulders and you can tell she loved it. After she played she wanted to say a prayer. Or in her words "pay her".

TIME WITH FRIENDS.

Before Christmas we had the Leffler's over. These are pictures of the kids tearing apart a gingerbread house.

The rest of the week was a blur due to heavy meds and sleeping but I seemed to manage and be here typing away. Although today was another crap filled day with sprinkles of greatness. As of Sunday I was starting to feel better but when we sat down at church I felt as though Abigail was starting to act strange. Sure enough she had a meltdown in nursery and wanted mommy or daddy. We took straight home and took her temp because she felt extremely warm and her temp was 103. Wow, not her now. Poor thing. Her temp has been high since Sunday, reaching 105 yesterday. I freaked of course and she has been sleeping with us ever since. So today I just decided to take her in since she hasn't been herself and mothers we are always right. She has pneumonia in her right lung. We need to keep watching her for the next couple of days. Why us?????? or her??????? But never the less I also had a few things to get done today that had to be done today. My cell phone broke last night so I had to replace it and then I had my last pregnancy appointment today.

Last Appointment

That is right this was my last appointment before our baby comes. She will hopefully be here no later than the 8th... yeah. I can't even tell you how excited I am to have another one. I just hope we can all feel better here before she comes and I hope she doesn't come early. Ps. we had to wait an hour and half longer to see my doctor because she had two deliveries. Would have been nice if they could have know that before we drove and hour to see her. But we had to go figure out my phone anyways so we did that in the mean time but while I was doing that Justin was hanging with Abigail who was completely lethargic and ended up throwing up all over Justin and herself right before we went to see the doc. I felt so bad. She is such a trooper.

The stats on the appointment are that I am dilated a 1 plus and she can feel her head very easily. So we will see if she can wait to come till my mom gets here. Here is her beautiful little face and we think she looks just like Abigail did. Crazy... Getting soooooooooo excited. I don't think I have mentioned that. Also, here is a picture of me today and the ever so growing belly.

God's creation... So beautiful and amazing. At the end of the day we are happy to be living and loving. The two things I keep saying to myself are "and this too shall pass" and "count your many blessing". Corny I know but they keep me going.

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday to make up for our lack of wonderful. Peace out.

We are MOVING!

I just thought I would write and let everyone know that I won't be back on blogger for a week or so because we are moving.

New house - Well Sorta
HALLELUJAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so glad and little nervous. This has been in the works for a while but I didn't want to tell anyone for sure until we closed. You probably think we are crazy because we are already working on one house but we honestly needed something a little bit bigger for a while until it is finished. We were very lucky to have found this house for such a good deal and it is ready right now to move in. Just some cleaning. It is an older home and the last couple that lived in it was an elderly couple that lived there since 1980 and they took really great care of it. So although it is really outdated wall and decor wise it is still a really great home and clean. We are having a cleaning company come in as well as carpet cleaners so I don't need to stress about that.

We have lived in this apartment for 7 years and I think we have outgrown it and I am ready to be out of an apartment situation. I am little nervous because I am only 3 weeks away from giving birth and getting settled is very important but I can't move things around myself so I am dependent on my hubby for all of that. Also, I have been VERY sick this week. Whatever Abigail had I now have but to the 10th degree. I went to my doctor yesterday for my 36 week check up and she prescribed some medicine that was supposed to help with coughing and help me sleep but for me it did the opposite. I didn't sleep at all until 6am this morning but Abigail was up at 8:30am so the sleep didn't last long. I am very, VERY sick of being sick. I think I have had my share and I should be done with it all now. Also, really bad timing. I want to get so much done but am very limited with my pregnancy and sickness. Luckily, I have great friends who have already offered to pitch in and I am very thankful. Also, Christmas is just days aways and I would like to have things put up and make it a great Christmas for Abigail. So time is running out. Craziness!!!! But so goes my life. Ha.
Lastly, we will miss our ward terribly. I have made great friends and love all of the youth. They better stay in contact because I know I will. Also, a plea to all my friends, please don't forget about me when it comes to girls night and book club.
PREGNANCY UPDATE:
We went in last night and she is doing GREAT! She weighs over 6lbs now and the doctor said she has a big head, long legs and slender tummy. So she is already taking after her sister. That is exactly what they said about Abigail and they were right. I am getting soooooo excited to see her.
EARLY CHRISTMAS PRESENT:
This morning I received an early Christmas present and I think it is going to be my favorite. No offense to all the other Christmas presents.
This morning I was feeding Abigail breakfast when I had quite the coughing attack. She looked over to me tilted her head to the side, stretched out her arms and said in such a sweet beautiful voice, "mama need hug". She wouldn't give in until she gave me a hug. It made my day after such a horrible night. God gave her to me for a reason, she brings light and joy into my life everyday. I can't tell you how sweet that was and how happy that made me.

Anyways, I will try to have more updates as soon as possible but not promising anything until the week after Christmas. I know you won't be too sad because I know that you will be just as busy with the holiday.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM THE COMBS

A new week has begun

Okay, so I am in such a better mood these days. Although we are dealing with sickness at our house again. Poor little Abigail is just susceptible to what ever is out there. I heard a little bit of a cough yesterday afternoon but it there wasn't really much there but this morning and for the rest of the day it had just been this really disgusting flemmy cough and she will hold her chest when she coughs and say ouch. Poor thing. Of course it doesn't help that she did not get a nap at a regular time or as long as she normally naps this weekend. It is hard when family is in town and you want to hang out with them. I also really want to visit some of Justin's cousins that had babies but I am too afraid to get the new ones sick. So I guess I will wait.

Justin's dad was in town for a few days to help Justin with the house. They sprayed foam insulation in the upstairs. It seems like it was a grueling process since it was the first time they did it. It was really nice for him to come down and help Justin. Here are some cute pictures of Rachel's twins with Grandpa (they weren't too happy to leave mom and dad). Also, here is Grandpa and Abi.

She is always hesitant at first with sitting on any ones lap other but she loved Grandpa.

Here are some fun pictures of Abi and a cute video of her from the last week.

Ready for a day with mom and Aunt Rachel.
I was keeping myself entertained at the Olive Garden by putting my chocolate mint on my hands. Hey it kept me entertained.
It was a long day with mom and Rachel. They take too long shopping and I was sooooo good.

Ready to go on a walk. Let's go, let's go!!!!

Hey Kitty would you like to come on the walk too.

This is the cutest thing. Abigail is walking in mommy's shoes but the cutest thing is that she takes such tiny steps.

PS. I also found out a term for my blogging and I am kinda offended. I am known as a mommy blogger. Although I love the term, the place where I red it was referring to it as a bad thing. Too bad. I absolutely love talking about Abigail and my new little ones arrival. I just think that it is noble to write about the things you love which can include your kids. That is that and I will continue my mommy blogging ways.
By the way the blog i found it on was no one i know personaly just a blog I followed.

Past midnight...weepy...committing myself.

I am writing after midnight and I see no going to bed in the near future. It is one of the most frustrating things ever for me for I am usually a great sleeper and have no problem hitting the hay, but you put a little one inside my tummy and I am a zombie for the next 9 months. I have tried just about everything but alas I am still awake.

I usually write upbeat and fun posts because usually I can find a sliver lining at the end of most days or at least I try to. If I have learned one thing from my husband is that life is much more bearable if you can try and find some happiness among the gray fog that life tries to cover you in. However today was one of those days that I am still fighting my way through the fog to find the light. It has been a rough couple of weeks with sickness, false labor, figuring out our current home situation, trying to find time to see my husband and so on. Nothing really too tragic and at this time of year I feel even worse having pity on myself when I know there are others that are far worse off. I still couldn't stop my self from crying the last couple of days. I know that a large part of it is due to the fact that I am pregnant and I am always so much more weepy when I am pregnant but I am sure some of it is just feeling a little helpless. I am not going to bore you with my life woes for the small fact that we can all find something in our lives that we would want to change or complain about so hearing mine isn't really going to impress you. I think I am just writing this because I need to find some joy this Christmas season. I need to buck up and realize how fortunate I am. I have a wonderful husband and a two beautiful children and who really needs anything more. I am not unhappy at all just a little down. I am sure we have all felt that way once in a while or at least I hope there are those of you who do so I don't feel so alone. So...

I am committing myself to you (those who read my blog and those of you who i love) that I will try everyday to find the joy in the small things. I want to be a person that lifts and not drags others. So please let me know if there is something that I can do for you. I think the best way of feeling better is to help others so I am willing to help. That is what Christ did and does and that is what this season is all about or should be. So really if there is something I can help you with please let me know and I will do my best.

Santa - Good or Bad. According to Abi - Both

We had a busy and fun weekend with Justin. I say that because it is not very often we get to hang with pop. He is a very busy guy and is usually working on our house.
Anyways, Friday night was the annual Ward Christmas party and it was really fun to see everyone and they had a great little Christmas program to remind us of the true meaning of Christmas, The birth of Christ. It was really beautiful. We sang Silent Night afterwards and I could barely keep the tears in. I am such a cry baby. Here are few pictures of the program. They worked really hard on it and I applaud them.

As for the rest of the night they had Santa come in for the kids and we of course waited in line to see him. Abigail was insanely crazy to see him, she couldn't wait. I love seeing her that way. She is just the happiest little girl, UNTIL . . . she actually gets the chance to sit on Santa's lap. You will see from the video that I took that she was not so excited to sit with him. She just sobbed. I felt so bad and that got me thinking, "what is our obsession with Santa and teaching our children to sit on a perfect strangers lap just because he is wearing a red suit with a white beard?". So I told Justin I will only let her do it next year if she wants to, no forcing. That is just my opinion. She still gets excited when she sees a Santa so we will see.

Abigail and her friends. (Rianna, Abigail, Alee and Morgan)

Dad trying to keep Abigail from running circles around the church. He looks amused.

She is sooooo excited. Look at that face.

His face. I just love it and I had to post it.

On a side note, after the party we went to take Abigail to a house that lights up to music on the radio. We thought that she would love it because Christmas lights get her SO excited, but we got totally bummed out because when we got there the house wasn't lit up and there was only a huge Grinch in the front yard. SO SAD!!! Either he didn't want to do it anymore or the neighbors didn't like it. Either way it sucked so if anyone knows of another house that does this please let us know. We would love to take Abigail.

Saturday Justin cleaned up the yard and cleaned out the basement. He is so amazing, he can do things so fast. He also hung out with Abigail outside and she had a blast. Later that night he worked on things at his office so Abigail and I had a night to hang out. We had fun just being mom and daughter, however, when it was time to go to bed she was mad that her pop wasn't home and she didn't fall asleep until 10pm. She is so silly but not stupid and knows that pop and I always put her to bed together.

Sunday we went to church and then spent the day as a family. We did go to tithing settlement and Abigail gave her first tithe. We tried to explain what she was doing with her money but all she wanted to do with it was put it in her piggy bank. I thought it was cute. Someday she will understand. Here are some cute pictures of Abigail getting tired and snuggling with her papa.

One more cute story. I was talking with some people at church and they helped out in the nursery last week. They said that Abigail is going to be a cheerleader someday because every time they announced they were going to do something Abigail would stand up and scream "Yeah" and get so excited jumping up and down. She does this with us and I just assumed it was a normal kid thing. But they just loved it and couldn't stop saying how cute it was. It was nice to hear fun stories like that from other people. Oh yeah, they also said she was smart enough to find the treats that the teacher was hiding and ate them all. I felt bad about that.
