Abigail and good friend Allee

A lot of things have been going on this week. I feel like I always get so far behind on my blogging. Just for those who are wondering, I write a lot on my blog for my family that live far away and for Abigail. I am going to turn this into a scrapbook for Abigail when I am finished. So I trying to kill two birds with one stone or so the saying goes.

Anyways, Monday we went to a fundraiser for an amazing young girl in our ward that had a disease that has effected her entire body slowly and they still haven't figured it out. Here is a link to her story. Please watch. I feel like the more info anyone puts out there they might find an answer.

Her name is Tiffany and she really is special.

A lady in our ward had her son come to her and give her this idea. So you pay a cover charge to get in and there were lots of fun games, s'mores, horseback riding, raffle, silent auction and bake sale. The whole ward came together and donated their time, efforts, stuff and money to pull this off. I am so lucky to be in such a loving ward. Well, there was a great turn out and it was really fun. I hope to post pictures of this soon. I didn't have my camera so I took pictures with Julies camera, she is really good about emailing me pictures. I hope that the benefit raised a lot of money for Tiffany.

Abigail has done so many cute things this week. I know I say that she is growing fast but it really is true. We went shopping and I saw the cutest pair of shoes and she needed a pair soon so I got them. Once she put them on she also grabbed her backpack, I felt like I was getting a glimpse into the not so far future. She also reminded me of a cabbage patch kid with those chubby little legs and those big shoes. I couldn't stop looking at how cute she was in those things. She loved them as well, she is really into shoes. If she is not a true blue (pink) girl. Ha ha!

She also loves her baby doll. I caught her on camera going and putting her baby in her highchair. It is so sweet. She cries at the end of the video because the baby has to have her hat on. Goodness me if the hat isn't on. She will also grab the baby if it cries and hug it and pats its back. Adorable. (I am not a over excited mother or anything.)




Then yesterday I was reading in the front room when she ran back into the kitchen. I heard a funny noise that I haven't heard before so I thought I better go check it out and this is what I found.

She was sitting in it and pounding on the boxes of capri suns like it was a drum. We have one of cats doing the same thing before Abigail was born. The funny things kids do. If only we were not so inhibited of what others thought. I wonder?



She is also repeating my counting. We always count when go up or down stairs and she likes to repeat me. She really likes the number 2! I had to do a little video of it. Don't mind her wearing no shirt, it was really hot in our apartment.

This last week has been a blur. I got back Monday Night and it was so fun to meet Justin at the airport. Abigail screamed when she saw her papa and got down and ran. It reminded me of a movie scene. It was the sweetest thing I have seen and I had to do everything to hold back my tears. We got home ate and just relaxed for a while before Abigail and I were so tired. So we put her to bed and then I stayed up for a while putting my stuff away and talking to Justin. The sure sign that I was exhausted was when I was coming back from the kitchen into the living room and I fell over Abigail's gate. It was a really bad fall because the gate came down as well and my hip found the floor first with the bar of the gate. OUCH!!! I didn't say much because I was crying so hard and Justin came running to make sure I was okay. He asked how I did it and I was half laughing and half crying because I didn't want to tell him because it was so ridiculous. Any who, I have a huge, I mean HUGE, black bruise of my hip now and the gate is staying down. Clumsy pregnant Shanna.

Moving on... Tuesday morning we had to be ready and leave by 8:00am to make our baby appointment by 9:00. Luckily our little cousin, Keersten came at 7:30am to watch Abigail while we were in our appointment. They both came and just played in the playroom at the doctors office. It was nice to not have to keep Abigail busy.

This was the appointment that we were supposed to see the sex of the baby but our baby was hiding and in the fetal position so no luck on finding out. One great thing about this little baby is that it moves so much more than Abigail ever did. It just kicks and kicks. I love it!

Then off we went to dropping off Justin at work and on our way home. Abigail was exhausted so we laid Abigail down for a nap, then after her nap we got her fed then off to her 18 month appointment. She is growing like a weed. Of course, she has the Combs head and is in the 95%for her head size, her height is in the 97%, and her weight is in the 50%. She she is a tall and skinny girl. She did so well with everything. She has has a little bump on her arm for over a month so the doctor was trying to figure out what it was. So she had to sit for a while with someone that she didn't know picking and pushing on her arm. She just sat still and looked concerned. I was so proud of her. Then she had her three shots, poor thing, she just gave the nurse a dirty look then came the cries. She only cried for moment then it was over. Keersten was still with us so she helped distract her.

We ran to the store to get a few things before we headed home again for another nap because it would be a long night.

Justin's cousin, Angela, was heading off the MTC so they had a get together for her send off. It was really great to see Justin's mom's side of the family. We don't often get to see any of them. There were a lot of people there and we took a lot of pictures. Unfortunately I did not have my camera so I need to get the pictures from my mother-in-law. So those will be posted later.

Wednesday was a good day. Abigail had her gymnastics and she was so good for doing a lot harder things this time. She did get a little tired by the end but she stuck in there. Here are a few pictures and video that Keerst got for me. Thanks Keerst! Then we shopped and then Keerst went with her parents and I went Visiting Teaching. I have a great companion and I teach great people.

Thursday morning was hard for me because I got really sick Wednesday night again. Not sure what it is but I hope it doesn't come back. Keerst came again and we hung out until we went to my Friend Christy's baby shower. That was fun and I wish they didn't have to move... Boo hoo for me.

Friday was a lounge morning and then I visited one more person that visit teach. That was great. Then off to the Thia restaurant with Justin's Aunt and Uncle and their daughters and Judy,Rachel and the twins. I love that place and the company was wonderful. That was a good night.

Saturday I spent all day cleaning and grocery shopping and Justin spent the day working at the house with his cousin, Nathan. It was nice of him to come help. I am sure Justin enjoyed have some company.

Sunday was church and then we had John, Rachel, the twins and Judy over for Game night. It was great to have them back hanging out. It was super hot in this apartment though. I had cooked all day and it sure doesn't cool off forever. So i felt bad about that but it was worth it to have them here. They are so much fun and teach us the best games. Love you guys.

This last weekend Abigail and I headed up to Rapid City for my sister, Lucinda's wedding. It was great. Although it was a fast trip it was a great trip. It was wonderful to see family and see Abigail get to know them. For the most part it was an uneventful trip when it comes to a one year old and pregnant woman, except for one odd night. I woke up at midnight feeling very ill. I tried several things to get my tummy to settle but it wasn't working and whatever was in my tummy didn't want to stay there. The bathroom was a very busy place for me that night and I woke up my sister and her husband with my vomiting. Need I say more. I felt great after I got it all out. The rest of the trip and the plane ride went great. Abigail was sad to leave but very excited to her dad.
