Walter Browning Combs

The Combs Family on May 7th, 2011 before mom and pop head for the hospital. Mom was very ready to have our son. The girls were excited but didn't quite understand what was going on.

Mom's tummy

Getting pumped full of liquid.
Still waiting. I had to wait 4 hours for the antibiotics to kick in before i could have my water broken. I was at least dilated to a 3.
I have a lot of videos of Walter being born but there some things you keep to just the family. Ya know. Here is Karen our midwife that has delivered all three of my children. She is great! All in all I only had to push 1 time and he was out in less than a minute. I only had contracts for 20 minutes once my water broke. So labor went very well and he was a beautiful baby. I did however get a bad epidural and it was very bad after birth but let's not dwell on that at the moment.

One proud Papa!!!

One swollen but very happy mama!
A Family Affair! Even though it was late we had lots of visitors. Grandpa Riddle and Uncle Kort brought the girls up and I am not sure if it was the wisest decision I had ever made. Both girls were very emotional and didn't really know what was going on. Poor Abigail wouldn't leave my side and had cried all the way to the car and Evee wouldn't even give me a hug. Crazy night but they did love seeing their brother.

Time to text and for grandma to get her turn.
The girls getting a special present from their brother. Abi got Tangled the movie and Evee got a little cd player for toddlers. Eric and Solea came to visit us in the hospital. Wouldn't they look good with a baby. Hint hint.. Jk they just got married. I recommend they wait. :)
Another special visitor. Walter shares his birthday with his Aunt Lareesa. Isn't that wonderful.

His sweet Aunts. Lareesa and Rachel. They brought such fun gifts and it was fun to have so many visitors. Here we are getting ready to leave. Walter was born with the longest fingernails and boy he scratched that face of his bad before he even came out of the womb. Still the best face ever.

Homeward bound. I don't have that many pictures from right when we got home because there was so much going on. I got the blood patch done on Sunday before I left the hospital but by the time I came home I was very ill and threw up and I think that might be when i popped it. I still felt great the next day and even went to bed happy but I got up to go to Abi's preschool graduation on Tuesday and all was a very different story. I was hoping that I just had a very bad headache as I left to go to her graduation but it just got worse as I sat there watching. I left very soon after in tears only to spend the next 4 days in utter hell. I don't use that word very often but it was all I could say to describe how i felt. There was no medication that would work and i could literally do nothing other than lay completely flat on my back. Nursing was hard but i could do it and i was completely depressed. I am very thankful that my mom was here to help and that Justin is just an amazing husband and did so much research to find the best place to have the second blood patch done and anything i could do to try and take the pain away. I had a LOT of melt downs but we are getting through it.

Here is Abigail loving on her baby brother. She absolutely LOVES being a big sister.
Evee is just trying to figure it all out but also loves being a big sister. When i saw her for the first time after having Walter I just got so sad because she did look so big to me .

Some fun random shots of Walter or as we are starting to call him (Wallee). He is seriously a dream baby. He never cries unless we are changing his diaper and let's us sleep at least 4-6 hours a night. He was sent to the right family and I am just so happy to have him in my arms.

His pooping face. Makes me laugh every time i see it.

Abi laughing because he was trying to nurse on her arm.
Grandma Riddle and Walter.

Okay I had to put this in. Evee likes her paci's and has started to steal Walter's paci's as well. Silly girl.

Mom in bed trying to be silly even though i was in tons of pain. At least Walter and I got to really connect. He was my 24hr buddy. He helped me try and look toward the future not in the terrifying moment.

Welcome to the world my sweet baby boy. I love you to the moon and back. You were totally worth it ALL!!!!!

The gals just waiting for the baby boy to arrive

I have been trying to spend time with the gals as much as possible doing fun things before little Walter got here. Of course being home bound for the most part kept us cooped up but we still made the best out of it. I also took this time to make the girls aware of the changes that were coming. It seemed to help a little.

Here is Evee testing the swing out. She had so much fun sitting in it and Abi had fun pushing her.
Here are the gals mimicking mom and dad in the background is doing the same thing. :)
Abigail just looked so old in this picture to me. She was chopping away on gum and playing a video game on her camera.
Evee's sweet face. Just spending some time with mom watching a show. I have some fond memories of me and my gals hanging in my bed. I hope they do too.

I finally caught a glimpse of Abigail that reminded me of the little baby that came 4 years ago. It made my heart ache knowing how the time slips by so fast.
The gals and I heading out. Can you tell that they haven't seen the sun in days. poor things.
Evee in her new chair from pop. Both girls got them.

Mom looking at her tummy two nights before delivery.

Day out with the family. Justin and I went out Friday, the day before the delivery of Walter and spent the whole day doing what the girls wanted to do. I was a little nervous because Thursday night I was up vomiting and wasn't sure how i would feel. But things went really well. We started with a fun breakfast, then off to the park, then lunch at Taco Amigo (per Abigail's request), then driving around to find a few things for Saturday, then ice cream and then back home to get a blessing from my hubby and Shane Lefler. The rest of the day was spent packing for Saturday and letting the gals play. It was a dream day with the small family of 4.
