Easter Week

This last week we spent time with some of my family in Wyoming. It was really fun just hanging out and going shopping. Abigail did pretty well on the plane rides, i think that she is used to the drill since she has flown a lot in just one year. For the most part she sleeps. Here she is with her daddy sleeping on the first plane ride.

Abigail also got to visit animals on a farm on day. While her uncle Kort got to feed some sheep she ran after the chickens. That was her favorite part. She went crazy for them. I got a little of video. Also, she learned some new things on this trip. She can say "this" now and she barks like a dog as well. Here are some short clips of that.

She is just so easy going and a joy to be around that even people we don't know stop and say a few things about her. For example we were eating lunch and this little boy maybe around the age of six came up to her and touched her face real soft and said hello and then went to go get his little sister to come say hi, then his mother and father came over and the dad said that they were watching her for a while and she has a such sweet attitude and did really well eating with all the grown ups. That was really nice.

We spent time with my sisters and their husbands for a short time and that was fun. We love hanging out with them.

Easter was fun, Abigail loved all her little presents. She had a couple of bunnies that sang and danced and she couldn't get enough of those. She shook her little bootie all day.

We did have fun and thank Grandpa and Grandma Riddle for letting us come and stay. Also, a big thank you to Uncle Kort for being such a great help.

Sunny days please stay

What a beautiful day it was today. Both Abigail and I were ancy to get outside. After a few errands we stopped by my friend Liana's house. Abigail just loves to play with their kids because they are so sweet to her. You can see from the pictures that they are sweet kids. It was a nice day to have a few hours outside. So I really hope that it stays that way.

I just finished reading "Tuesday's with Morrie" and I really loved it. It was a very touching book and I would recommend it to anyone. It really makes you look at your life and what is really important. Morrie was a very wise man. If you haven't read it yet pick it up today and enjoy.
I have to add this. Tonight when I put Abigail down for bed she did the sweetest thing. We always say a prayer with her but tonight Justin was at Young Men's so he wasn't there but Justin and I always kiss each other after every prayer and then kiss her, so tonight after we said the prayer she leaned in to give me a kiss. That just made my night. She is just so sweet and she definitely one of God's creations.

A good man never rests

I just have to say that my husband is an amazing man. He runs and runs all day on little or no sleep but is still is a good father and good husband. He is working so hard on the house and is always very active when it comes to his calling as Young Men's President. Abigail and I sure do love him and are grateful for all he does.

MOM - STOP TAKING PICTURES OF ME!

As for Abigail she is still teething and has quite the runny nose and is really over tired. She did pretty well in church today considering all of the above. It was funny because when she is extremely over tired she just gets loopy. So she was hamming it up to all the people who sat behind us in Relief Society. She would smile, breath in real deep and put her head back really far. It was pretty amusing. We did a juggling act during the whole meeting but all in all she was a good baby. The minute we got home we just put her in her bed and she was out. Here is a picture of her after we put her down.

Here is a picture with her daddy's hat on. She always steels it from his head and puts it on.

Here is a video of Abigail really thinking. She wanted the Green remote on the TV stand, so she thought about how she would do it and I feel like she was talking it over with us. After the video ends she reached and reached, pulled the dvd's off so she could get to the remote. I just love how she is a thinker.
Here is Abigail when she took all of her stuffed toys down and then snuggled into them. I thought it was cute how she loves to snuggle.

Fun to see Family

She didn't put this bunny down for most of the day on Wednesday. It's an Easter present from her Grandpa and Grandma Pickett.

Thursday I took Abigail in for her year examination, of course we are month off because her doctor is so busy but we go in and that is what matters. She is now 29 1/2 inches tall and still only ways 21 lbs. We laugh because for height and weight she is in the 50th percentile but her head is over the 90th percentile. Justin said "well that confirms that she is a Combs". Ha Ha.

Friday my sister Sara and her husband Aaron came over on their way to California and it was SOOOO good to see them. It was short but really fun to get together. Aaron helped Justin at the house and Sara and I chatted. Rachel came over to see Sara as well. They both just love Abigail. They will make terrific parents someday. They want to adopt and are still waiting for that perfect little one. We were so busy chatting that we didn't get a chance to get pictures of them. Next time. We did let them try the Thai restaurant right buy our house and I think they liked it.

Today we went and picked up our first piece of furniture for our house. Well, it is actually a mirror and sink combo for the main floor bathroom. That was pretty fun. Here is a picture of it.

The person we got it from bought it at antique auction for bathroom but it was way too big for her bathroom. It is really nice and will fit with the decor of that bathroom. Justin has been at the house ever since we got back today because he has a ton to get done before next week. The electricians started last week and have almost finished hard wiring the house which is a couple of weeks ahead of schedule (the first) but we still have to finish several things before they are completely done. It is pretty great to see the work on the house go fast.
Here is a few pictures of Abigail just being cute. She has had a hard week since Tuesday. She does have a little cold so her nose is constantly running also, she is cutting her back teeth all at the same time. Even with all that is still such a joy.

Loving the weather

This weekend we really tried to get out and enjoy the weather because it has been beautiful. Saturday we had to go through all of our lights and do inventory and get them organized because the electrician starts next week. So Abigail sat in the car for a long time while I sat in the driver side and bossed Justin around. JK. She sat for so long that she got bored and decided to take off her shoes then her socks but when she got to her left sock it was just too hard so she used her teeth. I laughed and laughed. So here is a video of that.

Then Sunday was just a lovely day of church then taking a nap later that day. We did however forget about the time change. Justin got all ready for his meetings and then I woke up and said I heard something about a time change and sure enough Justin missed his meetings.

Monday we had a busy day. We watched a little girl in my ward then went grocery shopping then unloaded and then I went to my friend Jamie's house. That was nice to have a few hours with a good friend. You start to feel sane again. I sure do miss seeing her everyday. We used to work together at Synergy and we would see each other on a daily basis so it was hard to not have that. She ROCKS and it's her Birthday today. SO happy birthday JAMIE.. Thanks for being my best friend. Here is a picture of Jamie, Justin and Myself during a cruise for Synergy that i put together. Yes I was a party planner. Her husband took the picture and said to look stressed. I am the only one that actually looks stressed. Jamie says... "if looks could kill". Even thinking about the picture makes me laugh. This was 3 or 4 years ago. Weird..

Later that night we had Nathan and Meghan over with their two boys and went and looked at some multi million dollar homes. They were over 9,000 sq feet. It was insane how big these homes were but we got some good ideas for our home. Actually after we left we came home and changed our mind on all of our stone for our bathroom. We ordered it so we can't change our mind now. Hope we made the right choice.

Here is a picture of Abigail asleep in the car after such an exhausting day. She fell at my friends house and chipped her front tooth. Justin and I are pretty sad about it but it really isn't that noticeable.

Today we just hung out around the house and went on an hour long walk. She absolutely loved it. I let her walk all by herself around the block and she was just having a blast. When we came home she just cried and cried by the door. I felt bad that we had to stop. I think the weather has put me in a great mood. Sometimes all you need is a little bit of sunshine.

House and Baby - Our two labors of love

I will start with our little one. She is been so funny lately. It feels like she is trying to get her point accross by talking like crazy. The video i posted is her in the sink getting a bath just talking away. I love it so much I had to post it.

She loves to open and shut the door.

It's wierd how Abigail loves to look around when I am driving now that she is facing foward. Also, she doesn't sleep she just likes to look around.

Our house... It is truly coming along. We have heating and cooling in and the brick is almost done. Here are lot of pictures, new and old. I will write more details later. I have to run right now. Wait for update.

This is pictures of the attic. One picture is of the computer nook right above the stairs and the other is of the hallway to all the bedrooms.
