Catching up

Abigail ready for her first day at school. This is her second year at preschool. She has so much fun there and gets so excited to get ready. We miss her when she is there but it is nice to have some alone time with Evelyn.

We arrived in St.Louis Friday night and the girls did really well on the flight but it was really late so we just went back to Grandpa Howard Combs apartment and slept. We were all very tired. The next day we got up and went the Zoo. It was amazing and free. There were a few things you had to pay for but for a very reasonable price. We didn't even make it through half of the zoo because it was so big and the girls needed to get some sleep.

Here are some pictures of the girls with Grandpa feeding the ducks by his apartment.

Sunday September 12th - Sept. 18th, We spent time at the Combs farm. It is a very unique and fun place to be. I just don't think a lot of those place exist anymore when time stands still and you can just sit on the front porch and hear nothing. We enjoyed it. The girls and I played, talked to Rosie and Norma and had some fun. The men folk worked like dogs putting in a sidewalk from the house to the garage/shed, fixed some wells and tried to put back doors on the barn. I say try because the wood never showed up.
All in all it was a wonderful trip. The only yucky thing is that Evee got bit by a wasp or hornet (not sure) and almost a week after she is still hurting and has a huge bump. I am calling the doctor tomorrow.

Here are pictures to enjoy. Most of them speak for themselves. The next few are of Abigail loving the heck out of a frog. She just couldn't let it go.

Somewhere in the middle there is a picture of Abi and Evee sitting on a sidewalk looking at each other: SO SWEET! Also love the ones of Abi jumping off the fence, "The Combs" sign is AWESOME, should definitely be framed somewhere in your house, and I love pretty much every picture! Looks like a great time, your girls are getting so big! :( Miss you!
